In loving memory of my beloved Felix, 100% of the sale of any dog themed item at any market in 2026 will be donated to the ASPCA. Felix was adopted from the ASPCA as a senior dog in 2021.
Additional donations would also be gladly accepted to donate to ASPCA to help other animals find loving homes. A donation can will be available at all 2026 markets and the QR code to the left is a link to make a memorial gift directly on the ASPCA website.
Felix was a Pitbull/Staffordshire Terrier/Hound mix whose favorite things were going on park walks and enjoying all the sniffs, looking for cats that were hiding in the sewer, sleeping in sunbeams, enjoying his backyard and his porch, eating as many treats as he could coax out of his moms. He enjoyed having the treats handed to him, in the form of a "sushi roll" (ripping open a cardboard tube to get to his prize), from his snuffle mat, or by playing his game.
He loved fish and his favorite treats were dried smelt, cod skins, freeze dried salmon, and anything stinky or crunchy but it had to be dairy-free, gluten-free, and poultry-free. Despite his chronic stomach upset, he enjoyed throwing caution to the wind and eating anything he could pick up on his walks when his moms were distracted as well as mouthfuls of dirt in his yard.
Felix's favorite past times also included barking at squirrels, cats, horses, other dogs, joggers, and cyclists. One of his proudest accomplishments was catching an opossum and carrying it around the yard while his moms chased him around (and it was still alive and left unharmed!) He never met a running car that he didn't think was the Uber he ordered. He ran a tight ship, keeping his moms on track and sticking to the routine but was quick with a hug or a paw loving laid over an arm because above all else, Felix was a joyful, loving boy.
