The vessels will sometimes be available at in-person markets, but the intention of not including the vessel is so that you can use that great jar you've been holding onto or you have an aesthetic to maintain, or the plant you want to use has a specific jar need. The activated charcoal helps to filter the water and the sand, pebbles, stones, and moss keeps the water from rotting the roots, so the vessel does not need a drainage hole. If wanting to turn a plant pot into a miniature graveyard, the decorations are available by themselves.
Plants will sometimes be available at in-person markets. I propagate Tradescantia zebrina, also called inchplant or wandering dude, which is suitable for both closed and open terrariums, but there are many good plants for open and closed terrariums.
